Target experiment
A planned test in which an experiencer attempts to identify concealed information from an out-of-body perspective.
Also known as: hidden-target test, veridical perception test
What it means in practice
A useful design selects targets randomly, records them in advance, prevents sensory access and uses blind judging. Misses and ambiguous results must be reported alongside apparent hits.
